Six Sigma Metrics... Spotted in Chinese EQA reports. Another sign the West is lagging behind the East in quality assurance monitoring. The NCCL, the national EQA survey in China, is now displaying Sigma Method Decision Charts as a routine part of reporting. Unlike the EQA and PT surveys in Europe and the USA, where they are hidebound and mired in the antique statistics of SDI, CVI, etc. (I know SKML is leading the way in Europe with Sigma-metrics in their EQA reports, but most EQA/PT programs remain mired in the past. They're afraid of offending manufacturers by pointing out inferior performance).
